  • About the Event

On Thursday 27th April, we are welcoming from Spain, Señor Roc Gramona, 7th Generation Winemaker of the prestigious Gramona Cava.

In the intimate setting of the "Private Room" of Glass Brasserie you'll be treated from Vermouth on arrival, to 6 exclusive Cavas from Gramona around a four-course degustation menu.

This will be the first time that Gramona's luxury Cava will be showcased to Australia.

Our host, Señor Roc Gramona will bring with him one of the only 22 bottles available worldwide of 2001 Gramona Enoteca Reserva for us to have a taste of this highly hard to find vintage (RRP$690).

The Gramona Enoteca Gramona 2001, is described as “a validation of high-flying cava, a real demonstration of excellence, complexity and finesse”, has obtained the highest score – 99 points (a qualification obtained by only five wines in 27 editions of the guide, which has never awarded a 100).

Seat availability is limited to two guests/member.

  • About the Speaker

The elegance, creaminess, freshness, balance, complexity and character are the essence of the cavas and can be attributed to the long bottle ageing - a common denominator in the world's best sparkling wines.

    About the Winery:

Gramona has been making still and sparkling wines since 1850 in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia in the heart of cava producing region just 30km south of Barcelona.

Gramona has made every effort to refine the art of transforming wine to cava while respecting traditional techniques such as natural cork stoppers during ageing, traditional racks for riddling, and manual disgorgements.

Today the Gramona-Batlle family is currently entrusted with an unwavering legacy - respect and passion for the land and wines.

The first Celler Batlle dates back to 1881. In 2001, following the building of a new winery on the estate, Gramona became a reference for sustainability and continue the journey towards organic viticulture and winemaking.
